Why we stock it

The rose version of Dom Perignon, made only in years the house declares and released after long ageing. Production is a fraction of the white.

We stock it because it is the top of the gifting range. At this price the buyer is not comparing bottles, and there are perhaps three names that qualify.

Dom Perignon is only ever made in years the house judges worthy of a vintage, and the rose is rarer still, a small fraction of the already limited production. The colour comes from red pinot noir blended in before the second fermentation.

Fuller and more assertive than the white, with red berry fruit over the toasty, biscuity depth that long lees ageing gives. It rewards a proper wine glass rather than a flute, and a little time out of the fridge. A bottle for an occasion that deserves one.
