Why we stock it

The single Hunter Valley vineyard that built Brokenwood's reputation, and one of very few Australian sites spoken about in the same breath as the country's most famous reds.

We stock it because the fine Australian red range cannot be all Barossa and Coonawarra. Graveyard is the Hunter's entry in that conversation, and it is the wine Hunter drinkers come looking for by name.

Graveyard is the single vineyard that made Brokenwood, and it is one of the handful of Hunter Valley Shiraz sites spoken about in the same breath as Australia's most famous reds. The block takes its name from the cemetery the land was once set aside for.

Serve at 16-18 degrees in a large glass, and decant if you are opening it young. Hunter Shiraz is a medium-bodied, savoury style that goes with lamb, duck, mushrooms and hard cheeses. 750ml bottle.
