Don Julio built his distillery to make tequila for sipping at a time when nobody did, and the Blanco is still the clearest statement of that - clean, peppery, unmistakably agave.

We stock it because it is the benchmark blanco. If you want to know what good unaged tequila tastes like, this answers it.

Don Julio González started distilling at Atotonilco el Alto in the Jalisco highlands in 1942, at seventeen, and the house is one of the reasons highland agave has the reputation it does. 100% blue agave, unaged.

Clean and fresh, with sweet cooked agave, citrus and a light peppery finish — rounder and less aggressive than most blancos. Excellent in a margarita and perfectly good neat, which is not true of every tequila at this price.
