Why we stock it

Barossa shiraz from vines planted in the 1890s on the estate at Nuriootpa. Fruit from vines that old is scarce anywhere in the world.

We stock it because old-vine provenance is the Barossa's real advantage over every other region on earth, and Old Bastard is one of the clearest statements of it.

Delivery Sydney metro. Same-day dispatch on orders placed before 2pm.

Old Bastard is the Kaesler flagship, made from Barossa Shiraz vines planted in the 1890s on the estate at Nuriootpa. Fruit from vines that old is scarce anywhere in the world, and the Barossa holds more of it than most regions.

Serve at 16-18 degrees in a large glass and decant it. Made for slow-cooked beef, lamb shoulder, barbecue and aged cheddar. 750ml bottle.
