Why we stock it

The Glenlivet defined Speyside, and the 12 Double Oak is the house style at its most legible - floral, gently fruity, finished in both American and European oak.

We stock it because it is the other half of a conversation that starts with Glenfiddich. Two distilleries, the same region, and genuinely different answers to the same question.

From the Livet valley in Speyside — the distillery that set the region's template and was, for a long time, the only one legally licensed there. Matured in both American and European oak, which is what Double Oak refers to.

Pineapple and citrus on the nose, vanilla and honeyed malt on the palate, and a smooth medium finish with no rough edges. One of the most approachable single malts made, and a fair reference point for what Speyside tastes like.
