The pinched bottle has been on back bars for over a century, and the whisky inside is a soft, gentle blend that has never chased fashion.

We stock it because it is a familiar sight to a lot of people and it still drinks well. Some bottles earn their place through recognition rather than novelty.

A Scotch blend of malt and grain whiskies aged at least twelve years, sold in the three-sided pinched bottle that gives it its name — historically wrapped in wire mesh to stop the cork working loose.

Malt-forward and gently sweet: honey, dried apricot and soft oak, with a light, clean finish. An old-fashioned style of blend, and an unfussy one.
