Why we stock it

Indri is made in Haryana, where the heat means whisky matures at several times the Scottish rate. Trini is aged in three cask types, and the tropical maturation gives it a depth that its age statement would never suggest in Scotland.

We stock it because Indian single malt has stopped being a curiosity, and this is the bottle that makes the argument without needing an explanation.

An Indian single malt from Piccadily Distilleries in Haryana. Trini means three, and refers to the three woods it is matured in: ex-bourbon barrels, ex-French wine casks and PX sherry casks.

India's heat matures whisky several times faster than Scotland's, and it shows here as depth without heaviness — tropical fruit, honey, toasted spice and a dry oak finish. One of the bottles that changed how Indian single malt is regarded.
