Why we stock it

Speyside sherry maturation done properly. Double cask means American oak for the structure and Oloroso for the dried fruit, and Aberlour have been getting that balance right for long enough that the 12 is a fixed point.

We stock it because it is the bottle we would hand to someone stepping past blends for the first time, and it does not punish the decision.

Distilled at Aberlour on the banks of the Spey and matured in two cask types side by side — traditional oak and Oloroso sherry butts — before being married together. That double-cask approach is the house style.

Soft red apple and cinnamon from the oak, dried fruit and nuttiness from the sherry, finishing warm and gently spiced. A rounded, sherried Speyside that rewards drinking neat.
